About the course

The course is intended for those who need to understand database technology and in particular, that engineered by Microsoft. On the course you will learn the features of a RDBMS and the SQL Server management interfaces, both the GUI and the command line options. The course seeks to show delegates where everything is and how the components fit together, rather than imparting low level ability to manipulate the database. The course also serves as a high level introduction to Transact SQL. Anyone wishing to progress towards full training in SQL or Database Administration will find this training a useful launch-pad.

Prerequisites

Delegates should have a general familiarity with IT and feel confident inputting commands into a computer, navigating GUI menus and accessing files on the filing system. Some of the overviews are fairly technical and an understanding of how IT fits together in general would be helpful.

The rest, we teach you on the course.
